Miracles!

Hi everyone! So many small miracles happened this week but I'll just share my favorites.


We were walking to a lesson of one of our friends a couple days ago and we completely walked right past his house. We had walked for like an extra 10 minutes before either of us realized that we had walked wayyyy past this guys house! Once we realized, we turned around to go back. On our way back, we found a man sitting on the curb and so we started talking to him. He was drunk and crazy, but his friend came over and was SO interested in our message and we taught him and gave him a Book of Mormon! Then we kept walking to go to our actual appointment and we found ANOTHER guy on our way who we started talking to. He said he had seen us walk by every day and he had been waiting for us! He is very lonely and has lots of struggles and he loved the message we shared with him! If we hadn't “accidentally” walked past the house we were supposed to go to, we would have never found either of those men! 


Last week when we were finding, we found a guy named Marion who we were able to teach and get a return appointment. So a couple days later, we went back to his house to try to teach him again. Marion wasn't home but his coworker, Noli, was! Noli was interested, so we taught him and got a return appointment! A few days later, we went back again to hopefully teach either of them. Neither of them were home. But their OTHER coworker, Edmar, was home. And we taught him!! We're gonna have that whole house taught here soon haha. 


We had a lesson on zoom last night with our friend Khiro. When we first got on the call it was cutting out so much and we couldn't hear each other. I said a silent prayer that the connection would be okay and we could have this lesson. We kept trying, and eventually just decided to start. As soon as we finished the opening prayer, the connection was perfect the entire lesson. 


Saved the best for last. Found sweet baby rays barbecue sauce at the store today. If you know anything about me, you know this is a miracle. 


Miracles are so real! We saw the Lord's hand so so much this week, too many times to write them all. God is so good!

Bap Date For Micah!!

Merry almost Christmas!! It definitely doesn't feel like Christmas here because its 80 million degrees. Haha enjoy the snow for me!  This week our friend Micah accepted a baptismal date! She is 16 years old and has been on and off coming to church for basically her whole life. She attends seminary and goes to FSY. She wants to be baptized so bad but her parents won't give her permission. We just recently started teaching her again and this week we taught about baptism and extended a baptismal date. The spirit was SO STRONG and she was so excited to say yes. She even asked if she could be baptized before the end of December! Her faith is so strong and she is currently praying for the courage to talk to her mom for permission. She said that even if she doesn't get permission she wants to get baptized anyway because she trusts God that it will all work out.  I'm learning and growing so much every day and I'm so grateful to be a missionary. Nanay Peed During Our Lesson

A good week! The gift of tongues is my best friend lately and it is SO REAL. The other day we had a lesson with our friend Jerry, and I had planned to speak a lot more in this lesson. Usually I just give the invitation and bear my testimony and occasionally teach a short part. But this lesson was about the restoration and I was going to be teaching a lot more and I was nervous. But we went into the lesson and I was able to contribute everything that I needed to! When I shared the first vision, the spirit was so strong in the room. It was just another confirmation to me that Joseph Smith truly is a prophet of God and he really did restore this church.  Funny backstory… before this lesson started, we were waiting in Jerrys house for him to come downstairs. He is the caretaker for his Mom who has cancer. She has a bed in the living room and I have never not seen her on that bed. Typhoon!

Hi! Been a sec! Quick update from the past 3 weeks… -We had 7 friends come to church last week!  -Jay and Denielle got baptized last Saturday and it was such a good day!  -AND A TYPHOON! I have never seen so much rain in my life. On Wednesday, it was pouring all day. Every time we came home for meals I had to change my clothes because I was drenched. It kept raining all night long and the worst of it was on Thursday. We went out Thursday morning and it was so fun I was enjoying that storm way too much haha. At one point a car drove super fast by us and it sprayed us with water and literally drenched us. It was so funny. The weather kept getting worse so unfortunately we had to go back inside and stay in for the rest of the day.  A few streets away from us, where some members live, was the worst of the Typhoon. The water went to the second floor of their house and they had no way of getting out. Very scary. But luckily the rain finally stopped and the water went low enough...
