Training
Transfers are this week which means I'm done with training! Time is flying by I can't believe it. I’ll keep this email short, not much happened this week.
We started teaching a family of 6 kids and their names are Cristelle, Crystal, Criswell, Cris Laurence, Cris Leon, and the moms name is Kristina. Like bruh. Haha how am I ever supposed to remember who is who? Haha
I found rice krispies at the store so I taught my companion what rice krispy treats are and we made them for some of our friends! …until our friends weren't home so we ate them instead.
And as always, the gift of tongues is REAL! This week we had just finished a lesson with a husband and wife. After the lesson the guy started talking to me. He said a bunch of stuff I didn’t understand and so I looked over like I usually do to let my companion answer or translate for me. I looked over at her but she was in a conversation with the woman. So I was on my own to talk to this guy. I focused extra hard on what he was saying and I could tell he was very passionate about what he was saying. I picked up enough words to be able to say small responses and bear testimony to him! I said a little prayer in my heart to help me say the right things and I would just start talking, having hardly any idea what the guy just said to me. I learned a good lesson to rely on the Lord! I knew more than I thought I did and was able to talk without having to look at my companion to answer for me. I just needed to open my mouth and trust that the right words would come, and they did!
I love the Philippines, I love Jesus, and I love being a missionary!
