GOD IS SO GOOD

Hi hi! Been a couple weeks since I've written an email but I LOVE IT HERE. Being a missionary is the greatest thing ever. Training has been so fun and my companion is like my best friend. We have worked so hard this transfer and seen so many miracles!

To start…
ELEVEN friends came to church yesterday!! This whole transfer the work has been soooo slow, but we've been working so so hard, and we're finally seeing the miracles!

This is the mom of our bishop, Nanay Marina. All of her kids are members except for her. A few years ago she had a baptismal date, but the day before her baptism, the elders came over to visit her and they started playing with Nanay Marina's pet bird. This bird was Marina's pride and joy. It was like her best friend and it even talked! While the elders were playing with the bird they accidentally let it go and it flew away. Marina was so mad that she canceled her baptism the next day and has held a grudge ever since!

So missionaries have been trying to teach her for years now but she's been so mad at the elders that lost her bird and she won't get baptized. Me and sister Peras have been visiting her and teaching her and we LOVE her. We even bought her a squeaky toy bird as a replacement for her bird that flew away.

And now… guess who has a baptismal date again??! NANAY MARINA!! We have had such good spiritual lessons with her teaching her about the power of forgiveness and the importance of baptism. And now she wants to be baptized!

Story 2:

This week we were out finding in the rain and having no success. It was 8:00pm and we were about to start heading home. We knocked on one last door and the woman immediately let us in and the first thing she asked was where our church was and if she could come. Ella, who is pregnant, lives with her husband and 2 kids in a tiny one room house, about the size of a closet. Not even a bathroom or any furniture inside. We went in and sat on the floor of their tiny home and Ella told us that a few nights ago she had a dream about a very bright man who told her that 2 people would come visit her. And when they visited her she needed to let them in. She let us teach her and her family and we had such a spiritual lesson. They all came to church yesterday and loved it!

Transfers are this week and I pray every day that me and sister Peras won't get separated. I love her.

Bought some bananas from this guy we found riding this bike down the street. Their probably safe to eat

Also I've been eating some gross stuff lately lemme tell ya. My least favorite so far is called kare-kare. My companion's way of explaining it to me is it's the part of the cow where his poop stays. And then the sauce to top it off is blood. Yup. It tastes as gross as it sounds.

Okayyyyy Bye
